
Constance Marie Lopez, born September 9, 1965 is an American actress from the United States. Her most famous work is her parts in George Lopez (2002 - 2007) and Marcela Quitanilla (mother Selena) in Selena (1997). She played Regina Vasquez's character from the ABC Family/Freeform drama series Switched at Birth (2011-17). She is currently playing Camila Diaz on the drama series on Amazon Prime Video Undone (2019). Marie began her acting career during her teens. In 1988, she was offered her first role in Salsa. Other credits on television and film include Early Edition (dirty dancing), Dirty Dancing (selena), Spin City (ally Mcbeal) and Selena (spin city). Marie was chosen for the part as Angie Lopez in the ABC comedy series George Lopez. Marie was the main character in 2001's comedy-drama Tortilla Soup, alongside Jacqueline Obradors and Hector Elizondo. She was also a part of the PBS drama American Family. Her own line of clothing, "The Constance Marie collection" was released in October 2007. She was also in an ad campaign for PETA that year encouraging pet owners to spay/neuter their animals. 3 Marie was the lead character in Switched at Birth on ABC Family/Freeform between 2011 and 2017. She was Regina Vasquez (the birth mother of one, and the legal mother of the other).
