
Salma Hayek Pinault (born Salma Valgarma Hayek , born 2 September 1966)[3][4][5[3][4][5]), is an American and Mexican actress. In Mexico, she began her career by playing the character as Teresa in the television show (1989-1991) as well as El Callejon de los Milagros (1995), where she received an Ariel Award. From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999), Dogma (1999) and Desperado (1995) were but some of her many Hollywood credits. Hayek's portrayal of Frida Kahlo, a painter, in Frida (2002), a biographical film she wrote and produced and won her the Academy Award for Best Actress nomination[6]. In addition, she received her Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award as well as British Academy Film Award nominations. Hayek starred in the action-packed Once Upon a Time in Mexico film in the years following and concentrated more on producing.
