Niykee continues to write songs, even though she has been swept up in the latest turmoil. Niykee was selected for this year's YouTube Brandcast by Snoop and Snoop was on stage with her. Young producer has been fascinated by Niykee. She constantly checks out the new beats. Many end up inspiring songs. She states that she can tell if the beat is good in just five seconds. And then, a brand new song will pop into her mind. I'll sit out on my back porch with my guitar, and then the lyrics just come and usually it's all done in under thirty minutes. Niykee has found that her experiences from her past provide an endless source of motivation. She says that even when she is not writing about things that have actually happened the pain due to her childhood and the loss of her sister find its way into music. It influences my music and gives it a deeper meaning, which I find very important. I'd like to be able listen to my music in the next 20 years and be proud of the things I've written.
