Firefly is Whedon s next huge popular television show. The actress must have made an impression on viewers, as this one episode led to her being a celebrity. Summer Glau played River Tam without difficulty. Glau was an excellent actress. Tam was a character who Tam was compelled to take part in government experiments in which she was trained to be an assassin. The capacity of Tam to manage her mood was stripped from her. On Firefly Glau was in a position to display not just her acting skills but also her skills in fighting. It was also evident that being trained to be an assassin gave Glau to fully use her athletic ability. Her classical education is what makes her an extremely skilled ballerina. The talent she displays in her dancing also include training in flamenco and tango but it was a broken toe that put her off dancing. Firefly was only on for one year, but built an ardent audience. Whedon's fans were so enthusiastic, Whedon returned to the show 2 years after. Summer Glau, however, received quality work. Her appearances on TV shows were as diverse as Cold Case and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
