The Washington Post covering football and basketball as well as multiple Olympics and Grand Slam Tennis. Nichols was a reporter for nine years during her period at ESPN in which she won 2 Emmy Awards, and featured on many of ESPN's top programs like NFL Countdown and SportsCenter. Nichols was also a an integral part of ESPN's Monday Night Football broadcasts as reporter on the sidelines. After leaving ESPN, her next stop was CNN and Turner Sports. Unguarded with Rachel Nichols was the first show she produced and hosted. It aired on CNN International as well as CNN. The show had over a billion viewers around the world. Nichols covered NBA television broadcasts for TNT, including the playoffs, regular season as well as All-Star broadcasts. She has also worked for TBS reporting as an anchor covering baseball and golf broadcasts. CBS broadcasted the Final Four. It was only the second time in its 42-year history that women were chosen from over 200 nominations.
